    Alok Kejriwal Alok Kejriwal, CEO and Co-Founder, Games2win

    Alok Kejriwal is a new media serial entrepreneur who specializes in launching digital startups and making them profitable. He has been successful in building ventures in India, China and the US.

    His mobile venture in China – mobile2win was the one of the first in China in 2001 to offer mobile competitions and promotions by pioneering a television to mobile interactive platform. The company was written up as a case study in Stanford Business School and was acquired by the Walt Disney Company in 2006. In India, Alok created contests2win – an advergaming pioneer that is one of the best-known Internet brands in the country.

    Alok co-founded Games2win in 2007, as a new age online games company that specializes in creating entertaining flash games. Games2win has created over 450 original casual games that are played on games2win.com, on social media sites as well as thousands of long-tail sites. Games2win also publishes its games on the iStore and Android platforms. In just about three years of launch, games2win is amongst the top twenty gaming businesses in the US (and world) as ranked by comScore (Sept 11 data)

    Alok has successfully raised venture capital from some of the world's leading VC's such as Softbank China, Siemens Acceleration, Clearstone Venture Partners and Silicon Valley Bank. His exits include the sale of Mobile2win China to Walt Disney and Mobile2win India to Norwest Venture Capital.

    Alok's favorite quote is 'To go where no man has gone before' from Star Trek. He is a passionate yoga practitioner and blogs at www.rodinhood.com. He is a commerce graduate from the Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics – Mumbai, India.

    alok Mittal Alok Mittal, Managing Director, Canaan India

    With a broad range of hands-on experience founding, funding and supporting early-stage technology companies, Alok Mittal joined Canaan India in March 2006. Alok focuses on investments in digital media and mobile companies, as well as innovators in managed software services and other IT enabled businesses.

    Prior to joining the venture industry, Alok co-founded JobsAhead.com, a leading web-based recruitment business, which was acquired by Monster.com, the global leader in online recruitment. He also brings strong Telecom experience to Canaan having worked for Hughes Software Systems prior to that. Alok is also a co-founder of Indian Angel Network, and on the board of TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) in Delhi. During the course of his association with Canaan India, he advised Canaan Partners in their investment in Bharat Matrimony, iYogi, Cellcast, UnitedLex, Chakpak and MotorExchange.

    Alok earned a BE in computer science and engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and a MS in computer science from UC Berkeley.

    Arun has over 19 years of experience in managing various businesses in Asia. As Managing Director, Yahoo! India & Southeast Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia & Thailand), Arun Tadanki has the mandate to expand and consolidate business, building on Yahoo!'s leading market position in this region.

    Prior to joining Yahoo!, Arun worked for 7 years at Monster.com where he was President (Asia-Pacific & Middle East), reporting to the global Chairman & CEO. Before Monster, Arun worked at JobsAhead for 2 years (a company subsequently acquired by Monster). He started his career at Nestle, where he was eventually heading the Culinary Business comprising the Maggi range of products.

    Arun was named "Hottest Young Executive in India – 2004" by Business Today, the largest selling business magazine in India. He was also named as one of the "50 Young Leaders of India - 2005" by India Today, the largest and most reputed English magazine, along with celebrities like Rahul Dravid, Karan Johar, etc.

    Arun graduated from Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai (1990) and is an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (1992).

    Arun is a certified DJ from Denon School, Singapore. He started his DJ career as a guest DJ, at The Dublin, ITC Luxury Collection, Hyderabad. For the last 5 years, he has been regularly playing at various clubs including Vapour, Gurgaon.

    Avinash Kaul Avinash Kaul, Chief Executive Officer, Zoom Entertainment Network Ltd

    He brings with him significant experience in the Media and Entertainment sector, especially in the television space. He is also the Head of Digital Media for Times Television Network.

    He has earlier worked with HTA Fulcrum, Discovery Communications, Star India and NDTV Media in diverse roles. He was also heading the consulting practice of NDTV Media and actively consulted with various TV channels and digital companies including MSN India. His last assignment was as CEO for Sahara One in which he headed three channels for them namely Sahara One, Filmy and Firangi.

    Avinash is a Mechanical Engineer from University of Pune followed by Masters Degree in Management from University of Mumbai.

    Deep Kalra Deep Kalra, Founder & CEO, MakeMyTrip.com

    Deep Kalra is the pioneer of Online Travel in India. His company, MakeMyTrip.com is the dominant player in the travel industry and also the largest ecommerce business in India. Deep established the company in April 2000 by drawing on his experience from successful stints at GE Capital, AMF Bowling Inc. and ABN AMRO Bank.

    Under his stewardship, MakeMyTrip.com has grown rapidly to become the largest online travel agency in India and also one of the largest travel companies in the country.     Hari Krishnan Hari V Krishnan, Country Manager, LinkedIn India

    Hari V Krishnan is the Country Manager at LinkedIn India. He is LinkedIn's first employee in Asia.

    Hari's focus is to help LinkedIn better serve its membership and customers on a local basis. Consistent with LinkedIn's mission, he aims to connect all of India's professionals to make them more successful and productive.

    Hari has a strong entrepreneurial experience in building businesses and companies in India and abroad.     Hitesh Oberoi Hitesh Oberoi, Managing Director & CEO, Info Edge (India) Ltd

    As the co-promoter, Hitesh leads the operations at Info Edge. Apart from the country's leading job site, Naukri.com Info Edge also owns Jeevansathi.com, 99acres.com, Quadrangle, Brijj.com and the recently launched Shiksha.com.

    With 10 years of experience in the internet industry, he is part of various industry forums. He currently chairs the Classifieds' Committee for IAMAI and is also a charter member of the TiE, New Delhi.

    Prior to Info Edge, Hitesh worked for almost four years as the Regional Planning and Distribution Manager (North India) for the Ice Cream Division of Hindustan UniLever Limited, the Indian arm of Unilever Plc.

    Kartik Jain Kartik Jain, Executive Vice President & Head Marketing, HDFC Bank India

    Kartik Jain is responsible for advertising, marketing communication, digital marketing and customer analytics for HDFC Bank in India. Prior to joining HDFC Bank, Kartik was Head Marketing and Direct for ICICI Lombard General Insurance, India, overseeing advertising, marketing communication, corporate communication, CRM and the direct sales channel including telesales and e-commerce. He developed and launched ICICI Lombard's eCommerce proposition which was the first in the Indian industry to offer instant online issuance of insurance policies.

    Kartik has focused on innovative and cost effective branding solutions. He has championed an 'RoI' led approach to communication be it on TV, print, radio, outdoor, online or sms by linking marketing spends to customer response. He brings a strong business orientation to his work and believes in differentiation through innovation.

    Prior to joining the financial services industry, Kartik worked with KPMG Strategy consulting in London and Mumbai where he project managed assignments in Europe and India in the areas of business strategy, e-strategy and process re-engineering across a range of sectors including telecom, consumer goods, real estate, auto, industrial goods and media.

    Kartik started his career with Cadbury India where he held various roles in Sales and Marketing.

    Kartik is a British Chevening Scholar. He has been recognized with the Pride of the Industry Awards 2009 and was awarded Best CMO of the Year in the General Insurance Category by the CMO Council India in the 1st CMO Awards 2009.     Kirthiga Reddy Kirthiga Reddy, Director of Online Operations and Head of Office, Facebook India

    Ms. Kirthiga Reddy is the Director of Online Operations and Head of Office India at Facebook India. In her current role, Kirthiga Reddy will head Facebook's operations in India, supporting the company's growing number of users, advertisers and developers worldwide who are capitalizing on Facebook's global service to foster relationships with people and reach out to new customers locally and internationally.

    Prior to Facebook, Kirthiga was VP and GM of SaaS-based Consumer Security business unit and India operations at Phoenix Technologies (NASDAQ: PTEC). She led a global team located in US, India, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. Before Phoenix, Kirthiga was with Motorola Good Technology for over six years. She was based out of Silicon Valley where she led global product management and strategy. She moved to India a year after Good Technology's acquisition by Motorola to lead the cross-functional Good India team. Kirthiga has also held the position of Director of Engineering at Silicon Graphics and Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton.

    She holds an MBA from Stanford University, where she graduated with top honors, an M.S. in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University and a B.E. in Computer Science from Ambedkar University, India.     Lakshmi Narasimhan Lakshmi Narasimhan, CEO, Web 18

    Lakshmi Narasimhan, 42 years, is Chief Executive Officer of Web18. Prior to this he was CEO for the Magazine Publishing business at Infomedia18. He started off his career with HTA (now re-christened J.Walter Thompson) as a Media Planner. He was part of the team which started up HTA Fulcrum, the AOR for Unilever in India in 1995. Post his stint with Madison as head of the Coca Cola AOR, he returned to HTA in late-2000 as head of buying on the Unilever business. Prior to joining Network18, Lakshmi was a national director of the central trading group with Group M (the media arm of WPP).

    Madan Sanglikar Madan Sanglikar, CEO, AD2C

    In January 2012 Madan, or Maddy as he is known in the industry, took charge as CEO at AD2C which is an entrepreneurial venture in the Digital Advertising & Communications space. AD2C is gearing for a big launch in India, soon.

    Maddy comes with 16 years of experience in the media industry of which the last 12 have been in the Digital space. In Dec 2002 he joined GroupM and later on grew up the ranks to lead the Digital culture for Mindshare India in 2007. Since then, the Mindshare digital team has dominated digital award categories at the Goafest Abbys, EMVIES, Campaign DMA including the Campaign Digital Agency of the Year. After this exciting stint he resigned from Mindshare in Dec 2011 and remains proud of the Mindshare/ GroupM team & culture.

    Max Wayne Max Wayne Hegerman, SVP, Head of Digital, JWT India Group

    Max Hegerman has over 20 years of work experience across digital, traditional advertising, marketing and communications planning for clients such as Nike, Pizza Hut, Land Rover, Volvo and Apple.

    He started his career in 1990, with Hal Riney & Partners, a full-service advertising agency based in San Francisco, California, where he helped launch the Saturn automotive brand (GM). After three years, he joined Wieden + Kennedy in Portland, Oregon, where he handled Nike on a global level. While there, he was instrumental in launching Nike Apparel. Max left W+K to join Oakley Sunglasses, in Orange County, California, where he lead the company's marketing efforts during the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia. Later that year, Hegerman moved to Goodby, Silverstein & Partners in San Francisco, California, and was part of the team which pitched for and won the Nike account – and, along the way, won a Grand Prix at Cannes for his work on Nike Skateboarding. Later, he worked with Euro RSCG Worldwide, as Managing Director, handling the Volvo Cars account for the North American market.

    In 2008, Hegerman shifted to TBWA\Media Arts Lab, where he was responsible for opening and managing a MAL office in Beijing to support the growth of Apple in China. Subsequently, Max moved to Mumbai to lead Tribal DDB India, making it one of the most successful pure-play digital agencies in the country. Based upon that success, he recently joined JWT India Group in Delhi, and has been charged with creating a separate digital unit within JWT India Group.

    Mohit Gupta Mohit Gupta, Chief Marketing Officer, MakeMyTrip.com

    Mohit Gupta is the Chief Marketing Officer of MakeMyTrip & an integral part of the MakeMyTrip strategic think tank. He is responsible for global Marketing and Advertising activities for MakeMyTrip. He is credited with making MakeMyTrip a name to reckon with in the dynamic travel industry in India.

    Mohit undertakes marketing initiatives for all segments of MakeMyTrip's hybrid business model; that includes online marketing activities as well as innovations that cater to the retail segment of the organization. His ideas and creativity provided the brand the much required impetus to emerge as the leading online travel agency in the country. Under his stewardship, the company was recognized as a Super Brand in the Consumer Superbrands India 2009 list.

    With 11 years of experience in the field, Mohit has handled sales, field marketing, brand marketing and channel leadership assignments across many levels and geographies. He has served as the VP - Marketing at PepsiCo International - India Beverages as well as being the General Manager for Modern Trade Sales at Pepsico International for India Beverages. He has also been the General Manager - Marketing at Pepsico International for India Beverages. He was responsible for developing the 7UP brand franchise and the Lime Lemon category for Pepsico's South Asia Business Unit. He started his career with Voltas Ltd. as a Management Trainee in the Air Conditioning Business Division.

    Completing his PGDBM from the Indian Institute of Management Kolkata and his BE B.Tech Mechanical Engineering from the Sardar Patel University, Gujarat, Mohit is also an active member of the prestigious International Advertising Association. He is a keen photographer and practices yoga to relax.

    Neville Taraporewalla heads Microsoft Advertising for the Consumer and Online Business, Microsoft India. In this role, Neville provides strategic direction to the Microsoft Advertising business driving long term success and market growth of Microsoft Advertising in India, while offering digital innovations to consumers.

    With over 23 years of experience, Neville has been an early adopter of the Internet and the digital space. During his tenure with Yahoo! India from 2002 – 2006, he was instrumental in reversing Yahoo India's fortunes, and played a pivotal role in converting the India office into a profit centre. In 1996, he led The Times of India Group's foray into the Internet space, where he was in charge of online media sales, content production and marketing.

    Prior to Microsoft, his other assignments have been with Publicitas Digital where he was the CEO and Online Media Director for the Asia Pacific region and has held key Leadership roles at Times of India, Mid Day Multimedia Ltd. & Khaleej Times in the past.

    Neville attained a Bachelors degree from the University of Bombay, following which he pursued a course in "Strategic Brand Management" from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta & successfully completed the Global Advanced Management Program (GAMP) conducted jointly by Indian School of Business (ISB) & Kellogg's Business School of Management.     Ratish Nair Ratish Nair, Co-Founder, Ad-Magnet

    Ratish has been in the Internet advertising and communications industry for more than a decade.

    He started his digital career in 2000 with Mediaturf and 6 years down the line, in 2006 along with 4 colleagues co-founded Interactive Avenues, which quickly grew to be the No. 1 digital advertising agency in the country. In 2008, along with Sunil Miranda (one of the co-founders of Interactive Avenues), Ratish moved within the group to start Ad Magnet, which in 2 years ' time has grown to become the largest Indian ad network & the 5th largest internet property in the country as per Comscore.

    Ratish is a Mechanical Engineer from BIT Mesra and worked for 2 years in the copper mines at HCL before doing a post graduate course from IIM Kolkata.

    After IIM – C, Ratish spent 5 years in strategic media planning – first at O&M and then at Euro RSCG, before shifting gears for a career in the digital space.

    Ratish has worked with leading advertisers like Uniliver, Pidilite, Philips, etc in his media planning days. In the digital space he has worked a plethora of clients in various categories like BFSI Consumer Durables, FMCG, Travel, Internet Businesses, etc. A keen interest in advertising related technology, helped Ratish and Sunil set up Ad Magnet which has grown to become the largest Indian ad network.

    Other than his passion for all things digital, Ratish loves reading (mostly non-fiction), is a keen follower of Football and F1 and loves to spend time with his kids.

    Ravi Kiran Ravi Kiran, Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Friend of Ambition

    The former CEO -South East & South Asia and Emerging Market Leader-Specialist Solutions for Chicago headquartered Starcom MediaVest Group, in turn owned by Paris based Publicis Groupe, he opted out of his full time position in end 2010, in order to explore alternative business possibilities.

    Of his twenty years working life, he spent twelve years at Starcom MediaVest Group, including over seven years in country and regional leadership roles, based in Mumbai and Singapore. He has built teams and product portfolio, grown businesses and stature for the company, mentored peers in the Middle East, Mexico, Russia and elsewhere on creating new lines of business.

    He also served on SMG's Global Product Committee and Global Management Group, the company's apex product and leadership groups respectively.

    Since 2003, Kiran has been chairing the marketing committee of the Media Research Users' Council, India's premier industry research association. He regularly speaks in industry fora across the region as well as is engaged in teaching assignments as visiting faculty in several business schools in India. Kiran has served on the juries of several industry awards, such as the Bombay Ad Club's Emvees, the BSR [Business for Social Responsibility] Awards, the AME [Asian Marketing Excellence] Awards, and the Cannes Media Lions.

    Kiran holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from University of Kashmir and a Business Management degree from Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi. He lives in Mumbai with his wife Shalini. His interests include technology, behavioral sciences and philosophy.

    Sameer joined the company as a Brand Manager in 1997 and subsequently moved to Milan for an International Marketing assignment where he spent a couple of years. He returned to India in early 2002 and then was elevated as the Head – Sales & Marketing. He became the Managing Director two years ago and is among the youngest Managing Directors in the country running a company which is almost a 1000 crores.

    Subho Ray is president of Internet & Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) since March 2006. As president, Subho heads the permanent secretariat of the association and is an ex-officio member of its governing council. He is currently responsible for conceptualising and implementing the association's activities around regulatory affairs, public policy, industry standards, research, communications and promotional events.

    In his current role, Subho has been instrumental in some crucial steps for the development of the digital industry. The main among these are instituting an accreditation process for interactive agencies, a credit recovery process for online publishers, organizing and getting recognition for the mobile value added services industry and for opening up the pre-paid instruments industry. Under Subho's leadership, IAMAI has also been recognized as the leader in all Internet and mobile value added services research in India. Since 2006, IAMAI has grown seven-fold in terms of membership and has been at the forefront of the advocacy for ecommerce, online advertisement, ICT for SMEs, internet penetration and an equitable business regime for mobile value added services industry.

    Before joining IAMAI, Subho was director for the ICT vertical at the Confederation of Indian Industry (India's largest industry body) in New Delhi where he worked since 1998 with a 2 year stint at the Confederation's London office.

    Subho is a trained historian having read history at Presidency College, Kolkata, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and receiving his PhD in south Asian Economic History from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London.
