Sean Leow
Founder and CEO, Neocha
ad:tech
Sean Leow ad:tech Sean is the founder and CEO of Neocha.

Sean’s lifelong interest in technology is the result of environmental conditions – he grew up in Silicon Valley. Ethnically half-Chinese, Sean has spent time living in Nanjing, Kunming, and Beijing over the past 7 years, and is now based full-time in Shanghai.

He started Neocha.com by combining his love for technology with one of his other passions: creative youth culture in China. Since the site’s founding, Sean has built Neocha.com into the premier destination for independent youth culture and creative communities in China. Leveraging Neocha.com’s community, Sean is also a founding partner of NeochaEDGE, a full-service idea and execution house passionate about helping clients understand, engage, and co-create with Chinese creative communities, trendsetters, and youth culture opinion leaders.

In addition to Neocha.com and NeochaEDGE, Sean is a contributing editor for PSFK, an international trends and innovation agency. Sean covers China and Asia Pacific trends for PSFK, writing weekly to an audience of over 500,000 readers. Sean also sits on the Flamingo Youth Expert advisory panel and acts as a China Internet Expert for the National Committee on United States - China Relations.

Prior to founding Neocha, Sean was a Senior Associate with Alaris, a China market-entry consulting firm in Shanghai, where he focused on China market and industry research, consumer branding and competitive strategy assessment.

Sean is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Duke University, where he majored in Economics and graduated from the Johns Hopkins-Nanjing University Center for Chinese and American Studies.

How many banners have you clicked on recently? Consumers are tired of boring advertising clutter on portal pages. They are fed up with irrelevant spam SMS on their mobile phones. They want to turn off the screen in the back of the taxi.

Unless ... You are creative and innovative enough to get their attention
