Dr. Mathew McDougall, Group CEO & Executive Chairman SinoTech Group
Dr. Mathew McDougall is recognized worldwide as a leading expert on online advertising and online marketing analytics. He brings 18 years of professional experience in Internet, wireless, new media, and software sectors. Dr. McDougall founded the SinoTech Group of companies in Beijing. Having already developed relationships with many of China’s largest websites and online Publishers, he was intent on promoting an end-to-end digital advertising solutions to Internet Publishers and Advertisers. The SinoTech Group consists of three companies: SinoTech Media, SinoTech Search and SinoTech Digital.
Dr. McDougall is a frequent spokesperson on Internet issues and guest speaker at Internet industry forums. He also sits on the Board of ad-tech China and on the Company Boards of a number of other Chinese Internet start-ups.
Dr. McDougall has a Masters degree from Westminster University, London and has his PhD from Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane.

Shaun Rein, CEO, China Market Research Group
Shaun Rein is the Managing Director of the China Market Research Group (CMR), www.cmrconsulting.com.cn, the world's leading strategic market intelligence firm focused on China.
Before CMR, he was the Chief of Research for venture capital firm Inter-Asia Venture Management. He also was the Managing Director, Country Head China for e-learning software company WebCT where he also ran the company's Taiwan and South Korean operations. He also served as the Assistant Director of the Centre for East Asian Research at McGill University.
He is a columnist for BusinessWeek's Asia Insight column and regularly contributes columns to Forbes' Leadership and CMR Section. William Bao Bean, Partner, Softbank China & India Holdings
William has been a partner at Softbank China & India Holdings, an early stage venture capital firm that is backed by Softbank of Japan and Cisco and focused on the technology, media and telecom sectors, since March 2007. William began his investment career 12 years ago as a technology analyst in Taiwan. Most recently at Deutsche Bank, he was responsible for Internet and Telecom Equipment across Asia as well as China technology including telecom equipment, Internet, media, PCs, display, handsets and software. Prior to this, he covered Telecom Equipment and Digital Media companies with Banc of America Securities in San Francisco. William also worked as an associate analyst with the team covering PCs, Enterprise Hardware, Handhelds, Storage and Semiconductors at Bear Stearns in New York.

Chris Reitermann, President, OgilvyOne China
Chris has been with the Ogilvy Group for 12 years, in Europe and Asia-Pacific, with experiences across a range of disciplines. After a career in investment banking and a degree in Finance and Marketing, Chris joined Ogilvy Direct in London. From there he moved to Ogilvy & Mather Advertising in Taiwan, managing a range of multinational and local Clients.
In early 2000, he transferred to Ogilvy in Beijing, China and over the years held various positions managing OgilvyInteractive, OgilvyOne and Ogilvy & Mather Advertising. He is now the President of OgilvyOne China managing OgilvyOne, Ogilvy Interactive and Neo@Ogilvy across China. He is also part of the Ogilvy Group Executive Committee in China. Chris is writing fequently on digital and marketing and sits on the board of several internet and media companies in China.

Hans Yu, CEO, CR Nielsen
Hans Yu is the CEO of CR-Nielsen, Nielsen Online JV in China. Nielsen Online is a recently formed division of The Nielsen Company that includes Nielsen//NetRatings and BuzzMetrics businesses. Nielsen Online is an important piece of Nielsen’s Strategy to provide clients with an understanding of consumer behavior in the Internet and digital audio and video space, as well an integrated online/offline data and insights.
Hans has been a prominent industry speaker in China Internet industry in past 6 years, sitting in numerous industry association and conference committee boards, i.e., China Internet Interactive Adv Association, AdTech, ISC video conference and i-Com.
Hans joined Nielsen//NetRatings in 1999 as Chief Statistical Controller and Principal Analyst, Pacific when the company was in its early development stages, operating under the trading name ACNielsen eRatings.com. Prior to moving to China as Executive Director, he served as Regional Director, Analytical & Statistical Service, Asia Pacific. Between 2006 and 2007, Hans Yu managed Nielsen Online Greater China and South East Asia market. In 2000 and 2008, Hans led his team rating and reporting Web traffic of Sydney Olympics and Beijing Olympics, and won great media coverage globally and locally. Between 2001 and 2007, Hans and his China team successfully introduced SiteCensus, Market Intelligence and AdRelevance into China market. In September 2008, Hans led CR-Nielsen team launching NetRatings in China, which is the first Internet measurement service integrating user centric data, ISP sampling data and site centric data globally.
Before Nielsen//NetRatings, Hans was the Senior Business Analyst and Project Manager, Supply Chain Group of Farmer & Deka Group, Foodland. Previously, Hans also had years experience in academia area, directing a highly innovative Internet research and modeling project.
Hans holds a Bachelor of Medicine degree (Public Health) from Tianjin Medicine University and a Distinctive Master of Management Study (Marketing Research) from Waikato University.

Eric Ng, Chief Innovation Officer & Head of Global Clients, AGENDA
Eric Ng is Chief Innovation Officer & Head of Global Clients for AGENDA. Eric leads the AGENDA group’s global and major client servicing efforts across the region, and drives the innovation in the areas of media, services and technologies for the group. He is currently leading client servicing for blue-chip clients such as Colgate, J&J, MARS and HK Disneyland. In addition, he successfully created and rolled-out innovations such as Social Media marketing, online PR services, mobile marketing, integrated analytics methodology and platform in the last several years.
Eric held several senior positions such as EVP, CEO and CTO with global management consulting firms and digital marketing agencies in the US, UK, and HK. He was also an Assistant Professor and research scientist in two UK universities and the European Union.

Alvin Chiang, CMO, Oak Pacific Interactive Group
Mr. Chiang joined the Oak Pacific Interactive Group in November 2008 as Chief Marketing Officer responsible for advertising sales for the Group's properties Xiaonei.com, Kaixin.com and Mop.com in China, corporate PR, and the overall operation and marketing of Mop.com.
A seasoned executive with over 10 years of internet and advertising experience, Mr. Chiang has held senior roles at Acer Digital Services Group, Yahoo! Taiwan, NetEase and the Alibaba Group. His career highlights include generating exceptional results in the areas of e-commerce, advertising sales and marketing planning for above companies. Before joining the internet industry, he worked for Hexin Communication Group in Taiwan.
Active on behalf of the internet marketing industry throughout his career, Mr. Chiang has been a judge for the China Internet Advertisement Awards for the three years and a guest speaker as well as advisor for ad:tech China throughout 2005 to 2007. Mr. Chiang has been named a Top 20 Marketing People in 2006 by New Marketing and a top 100 Influential Marketing People in China in 2006, 2007, 2008 by Marketing China.
Mr. Chiang holds a bachelor's degree in Management Science from Taiwan Jiao Tong University.

S Y Lau, EVP Online Media, Tencent
S Y Lau, joined Tencent in 2006 with the responsibility of overseeing the company’s online media business division, and also the mandate to further develop the company's online advertising business, and enhancing the corporate brand values for its various web properties. SY Lau is a seasoned professional in branding and marketing communication with more than 18 years of solid experience working in leading international advertising agencies, and with the previous 14 years in a leadership position in China.
- In early 2007, SY Lau was named by the China Advertising Association as "Person of the Year 2006 in the China Advertising Industry."
- Later that year, he led the TENCENT team to win the Strategic Partnership of the 14th and 15th China Advertising Festival. SY also sits in the advisory board for Ad-Tech, the globally renowned organization for Online Marketing.
- At the end of 2007, SY Lau held the post of Vice President of China Advertising Association, as well as the Visiting Professor of Shanghai Normal University.
- In March 2008, SY Lau was honored with the prestigious "Remarkable Contribution Award for China's 30 Years Advertising History" from China Advertising Association.
Prior to joining Tencent, he was the Managing Partner of Publicis China and the CEO for BBDO China. Before that. He had also held senior management positions at Dentsu Young & Rubicam in Shanghai, and McCann-Erickson in Beijing and Hong Kong. Mr. Lau has been a prolific speaker and article contributor in the advertising industry. He was a former chairman of Shanghai 4As Council in 2003.

Vincent Kobler, Managing Director, EmporioAsia Leo Burnett
Vincent is an entrepreneur who has been engaged in Internet ventures for the past decade. He founded EmporioAsia in 1999 and grew it into one of China’s leading independent interactive marketing agencies. In May 2008, EmporioAsia was acquired by Publicis and integrated into Leo Burnett Greater China. Currently the agency is in charge of all of the interactive business for Leo Burnett in the Greater China region.
EmporioAsia Leo Burnett helps build businesses and brands through online services ranging from creative website design, online, search, email, mobile and rich media campaigns. The agencies clients include Hilton, The Ascott, Metersbonwe, Fiat, Li Ning, Saab, Marriott, China Eastern Airlines, Robinsons Land and Belle.
Owing to his Asian and American heritage, Vincent communicates fluently in a multilingual environment (Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Japanese, English and some Shanghainese), while delivering multicultural digital marketing solutions for global clients. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston's Babson College.

Jason Kuperman, Vice President, Asia Pacific Digital Development, Omnicom Group Inc.
In the late 1990’s Jason founded the Interactive division of TBWA\Chiat\Day, as well as helped launch the TBWA\ network’s worldwide Interactive initiative called Digerati. Under Jason’s leadership the Interactive division grew with expertise in web development, Interactive marketing, email marketing, as well as the use of convergent media vehicles.
Until 2005, Jason served as the group’s the Director of Operations, managing the day-to-day operations of the 120+ person LA office across all of its disciplines. In 2006 Jason returned to his Interactive roots to focus on Interactive and online brand content in order to best leverage the group’s success in these two rapidly growing areas.
In January of 2007, Jason left TEQUILA\ to join another TBWA\ company, Agency.com. Based in Shanghai, he became the Managing Director of the China operations for the world-class digital agency. He built out the digital offering for the TBWA\China group growing Interactive revenues 250% and doubling the client base of the agency.
In the beginning of 2008 Jason moved to a new role within the Omnicom Group to serve as the Asia Pacific region’s Vice President for Digital Development. In his new role he will help all the divisions of Omnicom in the region continue to build their digital capabilities and profiles. His responsibilities will include recruiting top digital talent to the region, training and general evangelism, capability development, and strategic acquisitions.

Ian McGuinn, Head of Operations and Research, JLM Pacific Epoch
Ian McGuinn heads research and operations for JLM Pacific Epoch. Prior to joining JLM Pacific Epoch, he led a cross-functional team at Thomson Financial, managing 200 corporate clients including Intel, Gap Inc., and Charles Schwab. Mr. McGuinn holds a BA from Middlebury College and an MA in international relations from The Fletcher School at Tufts University.

Bessie Lee, CEO, GroupM China
GroupM China Bessie Lee was appointed CEO of GroupM China in September 2005 and is responsible for the strategic development, operations and continued growth of GroupM and its media agencies in China.
She started her career in media in 1990 at J. Walter Thompson in Taiwan. Prior to her role at GroupM China, Bessie spent eight years in Mindshare Taiwan and Shanghai; her last position there was CEO of Mindshare China.
Bessie has won numerous media awards in China. In 2007, she was voted one of China's top 10 most creative media professionals by the China Economic Newspaper Association. She was also specially named as one of China’s top business women leaders by the All-China Women’s Federation in 2006.
She graduated with a Master’s degree in communications at the Illinois State University, USA.

Peter Cheng, COO, AdChina
Peter is COO of AdChina, the leading ad network in China. Peter joined AdChina from Adify, where he was VP of Product Management. Peter was instrumental in building Adify’s industry leading Built-Your-Own-Network (BYON) platform, and led Adify’s IAB Certification project. Prior to Adify, Peter worked for eBay as Principal Product Manager leading eBay's global Internet marketing initiatives. Before joining eBay, Peter held several senior marketing and product management positions at Vividence, Oracle and FedEx. Peter holds an MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and a BS in Computer Engineering from National Chiao Tung University in Taiwan.

Dirk Eschenbacher, Executive Creative Director & Managing Partner, Tribal DDB Asia-Pacific
Dirk Eschenbacher is an idealist who dreams of saving lives. For the moment however, he breathes life into the digital world by creating original and award-winning campaigns. In his role as Executive Creative Director and Managing Partner of Tribal DDB Asia Pacific, Dirk leads the creative product for Tribal’s 13 offices across the region.
Dirk moved to Tribal from OgilvyOne/OgilvyInteractive Beijing, where he had joined as Creative Director in 2001. By 2003, he was promoted to Executive Creative Director for the Beijing office and Asia Pacific region.
Best known for his award-winning online, offline and integrated campaigns, Dirk’s creative team has been honoured at many local, regional and international award shows.
When he has time to spare, Dirk judges regional and international award shows, speaks at industry conferences and advertising seminars, and leads lectures and workshops for young Chinese advertising and design students. Dirk is German but has been calling Asia home for over a decade.

Dr. John Liu, Vice President of Sales, Greater China Region,
Google Inc.
Dr. John Liu is the Vice President of Sales of Google Inc. He joined Google in January, 2008. Dr. John Liu oversees Google’s sales and business development in mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Prior to joining Google, Dr. John Liu has served six years at SK Telecom as its CEO and President in China. Dr. Liu was awarded "Ten Outstanding IT Business Leaders of China" in 2006 and "Mundell World Executives Reward for Achievements in China" in 2007. Earlier, Dr. Liu held senior executive positions with FreeMarkets Inc. and Singapore Telecom.
Graduating from Beijing Normal University in 1983, with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Dr. John Liu taught at the East China Normal University in Shanghai, before venturing overseas to pursue advanced studies. Dr. Liu completed both his Master’s degree in Operation Research in 1992 and PhD in Telecommunication Network Management in 1994 at the Technical University of Denmark.

Arlene Ang, Regional MD, Publicis Modem Asia
Arlene heads up Publicis Modem in Asia. Publicis Modem is on a very aggressive expansion plan. A combination of organic growth and acquisition has resulted in 6 offices in Asia in less than 2 years. Recently RECMA ranked Publicis Modem has the 4th largest digital agency Worldwide. In Asia, Publicis Modem work with global brands such as HP, LG, Heineken, Citibank, IKEA, L’Oreal and Nestle amongst others.
Arlene is experienced in both traditional and online marketing having started her career in 4A advertising agencies in the 80s. Later in 1999, Arlene founded one of Asia’s leading digital marketing networks which grew to 8 offices in Asia Pacific. She sold the company in early 2003 and worked as their Chief Marketing Officer based in China responsible for business development and overall account strategy. Her clients included Lipton Tea, Coca Cola Qoo, Johnson’s & Johnson’s, Yum! Restaurants, Shanghai Volkswagen, Siemens Mobile, China Mobile (Zhejiang) and Ford Motor Company.
Arlene has a MBA in Strategic Marketing from the University of Hull and a BBA from the National University of Singapore
She has two kids and a husband whom she doesn’t see enough of. In her spare time she loves to do nothing and spend time at home. But coffee, spas, travels and exercising her credit cards would be her hobbies.
